Miller Withdraws, New Nominee to be Chosen at Convention
The Democratic Party's nominee for Clerk of Court, David Miller, withdrew his nomination for his position last week. The Washington Post article is below, along with his withdrawal letter (he also gave an interview to Raising Kaine):
The Democratic Party now needs to select a new nominee. At least two people are expected to file (any registered voter in Fairfax County file for candidacy in the convention). The convention details are below:

Fairfax County Democratic Committee will accept candidate filing forms to include a $1,000 filing fee, for nomination for Clerk of Court, Fairfax County/Fairfax City. Those seeking the nomination must contact the Committee's Chair, Ginny Peters, 703-4071747. Candidates must file on or before 7 p.m., August 23rd, 2007, 2815 Hartland Road, Falls Church, VA. An open convention to select the nominee will be held August 28, 2007, 7:00 p.m. Fairfax County Government Center, Board Room, 11200 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA. Democrats registered to vote in Fairfax County or Fairfax City are encouraged to participate.
