Voting can be done by mail and / or in
person. To vote
absentee by mail: How do I apply for a ballot
by mail? You must complete an
Absentee Ballot Application and mail
it to the Office of Elections, 12000 Government
Center Parkway, Suite 323, Fairfax, VA
22035 or fax it to us at (703)
324-3725. Absentee ballot applications are
available at county government centers and
libraries.
You may choose to use our
new fillable online
absentee ballot application form. This form
allows you to complete your absentee ballot
application form online. Once you have entered
the required information into the form, you
must then PRINT the form, SIGN the form and
then RETURN the form either by mail
to the address listed above, or by fax
at the number listed above.
The online fillable absentee
application form requires that you have Adobe
Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If
you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader installed
on your computer, use the link
below to download the program.
You may also choose to print
a blank absentee ballot application (pdf
158kb). Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.

Whichever method you use to submit
an absentee ballot application, be sure
to complete all information on the form,
including the reason you need to vote absentee,
the address where you want the ballot mailed,
your full name, home address, and the last four
digits of your social security number.
