Re: Interesting Web Site/On line Network for Women
Jan 5, 2008 | Sherry Dana | Usagroups@aol.com
Just want to let any of the ladies out there to know about a good on line democratic women's network: that connects women from all over the country and discusses issues that our candidates expound on and issues of the party: often on monthly conference calls that can easily be logged into. It has been interesting so far. I've logged onto calls with: Susie Turnbull, Vice-Chair of DNC, and Karen Finney, Director of Communications for DNC and was able to directly ask them questions about upcoming strategies (against whoever our opponent will be) which was very cool. They also encourage all women to sign on to the democrats.org web site for online tools to promote more woman activism and grass roots action. Last month's conference call featured Michele Obama. The website for (free registration online) is: dempresidentialpowerteam_08@cox.net Just email and ask Laura Boyd (team leader) to email you a sign up sheet to complete and email back so you can then be included on future emails. There is no fee to sign up BUT conference calls are not toll-free. The next call is Jan. 17th and will feature "A pre-Super Tuesday Preview: Where are we now and what can we expect" Sherry D.
